A young gentleman, in fur-bordered sky-blue day gown and open white shirt, powdered hair
signed and dated 'Rouvier 1780' (lower right)
2 1/8 in. (54 mm.) diam., set on the cover of a gold-mounted circular composition bonbonnière struck with the discharge mark of Henry Clavel, the base with gold initials on plaited hair
