The artist drew the same horse wearing a similar saddle, but seen from a slightly different angle, in a drawing in the National Museum, Oslo (Nederlandske tegningen (ca. 1600-ca. 1700) i Nasjongalleriet, Oslo, 1976, no. 6, ill.).
