The present Art-Nouveau style table was probably unique and was specifically designed to adapt these jade panels. The technique of inlaying this type of spinach jade panels can be found on Imperial hardwood furniture from the Qianlong period. See a massive zitan table screen inlaid with a spinach green jade panel depicting two confronting dragons in the sea, in the collection of the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum - Furniture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (II), Hong Kong, 2002, pl. 167.
