Il quale essendo restato incompleto per prematura morte dell'autore è stato ridotto a fine coll'aggiunta di tre canti da Gaetano Polidori, Florence: le Monnier, 1851. 8° (171 x 112mm.), half title, 2 engraved portraits and one facsimile leaf, errata-slip pasted to blank verso, contemporary red morocco decorated in gilt, g.e. FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by Gaetano Polidori, "To the Right Honourable the Lady Louisa Thynne", in 2 poems on 3 pages, tipped in at the front ("Londra, ai 12 di Maggio, 1852", from "Vostri devoto Servo Polidori"). Gaetano Polidori was maternal grandfather to Christina Rossetti. In April 1842 Gaetano printed Christina's first recorded verses, addressed to her mother on her birthday, at his private press. His son, John William, was Byron's physician and author of The Vampyre. NUC records only the Harvard copy of Il Losario.
