Arabic manuscript on paper, 314ff. plus 4 fly-leaves, each folio with 13ll. of black naskh in cloud-bands reserved against gold ground, gold and polychrome roundels between verses, sura headings in white on gold ground, marginal markers in gold and polychrome medallions, opening bifolio with 18th century Indian gold and polychrome floral illumination, the first bifolio of sura Maryam with similar illuminated borders, illuminated headpieces on the last bifolio, colophon within panels flanked by gold floral arabesques, later attribution to Yaqut al-Musta'simi, later owners's stamp, slight staining, rubbing and repairs, remargined, bound in 16th century Safavid stamped and gilt morocco, the doublures decorated in découpé on blue ground, with central medallion on gold ground with elegant Chinese clouds, minor rubbing, remargined
