The Royal Geographical Society silver copy of The Scott Medal (1904), awarded to Koettlitz, incused 'SURGEON REGINALD KOETTLITZ.' on the rim, in case of issue

Dr. Reginald Koettlitz (1861-1916), surgeon and botanist on the National Antarctic Expedition, 1901-04, and thence by descent to the present owner.
