Examples of Wilson's work are in the Tate Gallery, London; James Joyce Museum, Dublin; Queen's University, Belfast; Keats-Shelley Museum, Rome; Ulster Museum; Ashmolean Museum, Oxford and Harvard University, Mass. His many commissions incluie a portrait of Seamus Heaney, studies of which are in the National Portrait Gallery, London.
