the complete set of 12 signed etchings with stencil-coloring and gilding, hors-texte, title page, text in English, and justification, on Japon nacré, state b (of d), copy XLIV of XLIV on this paper (there were also 6 on parchment in Roman numerals, 250 on Arches in Arabic numerals and 20 hors commerce lettered A-T), with the publisher's blindstamp on each sheet, the full sheets, folded and loose (as issued), minor surface soiling, soft creasing at the sheet edges, some sheets toned, the palest occasional foxing, otherwise in very good condition, original blue linen-covered boards and slipcase with cast lead medallion (minor wear). 590 x 400 mm.
