3 parts in one volume, small 8o (157 x 96). Engraved portrait frontispiece by William Marshall; section titles to Narcissus and Triumph of Beautie. (One headline and some pagination shaved slightly, inner margins discretely restored on title-page and final leaf, lacks initial blank A1, 2D8 and final blank 3B8.) Crimson morocco gilt, edges gilt, by Riviere. Provenance: Herschel V. Jones (bookplate) -- Hannah D. Rabinowitz (bookplate). Exhibited: Grolier Club, 'This powerfull rime,' 1975, no. 15.

FIRST EDITION. Consisting chiefly of epithalamia, elegies, prologues, and songs from plays, these works reflect the acknowledged influence of Ben Jonson. Copies of the last part, The Triumph of Beautie, "occur separately bound and probably were originally so issued" (Pforzheimer; see Wing S3488).
