The dream of Joseph Haydn while composing The Creation

In the early 1930s, Hampel executed a series of very similar drawings showing Mozart composing various works (see Christie's, London, 27 June 1988, lots 721-23). It is likely that this imaginative idea of Haydn dates from the same period.
