STATUE D’AMITAYUS EN BRONZE DORE
CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, EPOQUE KANGXI (1662-1722)
Amitayus is seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with both hands resting on his lap in dhyanamudra. He is dressed in a dhoti with its borders finely incised with scrolling tendrils, scarf and jewellery set with semi-precious stones. His face displays a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, urna and red coloured smiling lips. His hair is in a chignon secured with a five leaf tiara and decorated with a pair of floating ribbons; unsealed.
