Maitreya is shown seated in bhadrasana on a throne with both hands in dharmacakramudra and holding the stems of lotuses flowering along his upper shoulder supporting a flask. His face displays a serene expression with downcast eyes. His blue-coloured hair is coiffed in a chignon secured with a tiara.
