SWISS. AN UNUSUAL GOLD QUARTER REPEATING JACQUEMARTS WATCH WITH ADDITIONAL COMPLICATED AUTOMATON

With gilt-finished verge movement, pierced and engraved decorative cock, quarter repeating on two blued steel gongs, gilt cuvette, white enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals, blued steel hands, the centre consisting of a finely chased three-coloured gold scene of a period building with classical columns, seated are two angels realistically striking the bells in time to the repeating mechanism, in addition above in the gallery are two performing figures of a Jester and Father Time appearing from the walls, greeting each other in the centre, when the repeating ceases the two performing figures retreat back behind the screens, in engine-turned case with starburst decoration to the back, repeating through the pendant, unsigned
