Woodcut Royal coats-of-arms on title pages, ruled in red throughout, woodcut initials (some staining to first few leaves, one marginal repair, small rusthole). Contemporary black panelled calf gilt, spine with raised bands elaborately decorated in gilt, gilt edges (split to head of upper joint, rubbed and scuffed, particularly at corners). Provenance: "Nicho. Cunliffe. The Gift of my Mother Ann Cunliffe" (old inscription on front free endpaper).
