Gouache heightened with gold on paper, nimbate Guru Nanak in centre surrounded by nine other Sikh Gurus and musicians, all wearing rich yellow robes and turbans, sit upon yellow rugs on a red-carpeted terrace celebrating the festival of Basant Panchmi, beyond them a rich foliate landscape, before them a balustrade, within minor black and red rules on red-speckled margins, an empty red cartouche above, some creasing
