This picture is one of the group of paintings once thought to be by Francesco Tironi but now generally recognized as by the Master of the Langmatt Foundation Views. These include a variant of the present work sold at Christie's, London, 23 March, 1990, lot 34, as attributed to Francesco Tironi (£110,000).
