The Milton Shield:
a Victorian electroplated copper, electrotyped shield of oval outline decorated with scenes from 'Paradise Lost' in relief and heightened with borders of gilding, after a design by Morel Ladeuil, and signed 'Morel Ladeuil Fecit 1866', complete with the Dept. of Science and Art label on the reverse, by Elkington & Co., c. 1866, 85.5cm high.
