Lot Essay

We are grateful to Fred Meijer of the RKD, The Hague, for suggesting the attribution to the Monogrammist C.DH., an as-yet-unidentified artist who was most likely working in the second half of the 17th century. The sky and trees appear to have been added by a later hand.
