The central panel carved, shaped as an arch, the spandrels with cherubs, the image of the Mother of God flanked by reliefs simulating columns and figures carrying flowers, the upper compartments of the wings with Church Fathers bearing Gospels, below the equestrian Sts. George and Demetrios, above the Mandylion set in a frame decorated with flowers, with a carved shell and foliage at the bottom, yellow, green and red being the dominant colours
