Probably from a Qisas al-Anbiya, ink and gouache heightened with gold on paper, with 7ll. of elegant black nasta'liq with gold verse roundels, five rectangular cartouches inside the text panel, three decorated with figural scenes including an old scholar with a book, a youth reclining with a book and a further youth seated with a safina manuscript, two further cartouches with gold and polychrome illumination, the text panel set within gold rules on marbled paper margins with gold scrolling vine, mounted, framed and glazed
