THREE APULIAN RED-FIGURE VESSELS

Comprising a mug with profile female head, elaborate palmette and scrolling tendrils below knotted handle, wave motif around everted rim, concentric black rings on base, 3 3/8 in. (8.5 cm.) high; a lekanis, the lid with two female profile heads with palmettes between, radiating strokes on knob; another similar, the body with vertical strokes in added white, repaired, and graffito on underside of lid, 5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) diam. max.; and a South Italian black glazed guttus with central relief mask of a bearded deity, with striated body and tall side spout, late 4th-early 3rd Century B.C., 4 3/8 in.
