THREE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLES
JINGDEZHEN KILNS, 1820-1910
The first bottle, 1820-1870, is decorated with a scene from 'Journey to the West', with figures before a gate marked yunzhandong ('cloud pathway cave'), the base with an apocryphal Yongzheng mark. The second, 1830-1880, is of bulbous form and is decorated with a scene of eight figures hunting before a gate marked 'Victory Gate,' beneath the inscription 'Hoist the victory flag.' The third, flattened vase-form bottle, 1840-1910, is decorated with long-tailed birds perched on flowering plants.
2 3/8, 2 5/8 and 2 7/8 in. (6, 6.6 and 7.4 cm.) high, glass, and agate stoppers
