THREE CYPRIOT POTTERY VESSELS
CYPRO-GEOMTERIC TO CYPRO-ARCHAIC, CIRCA 1050-600 B.C.
Comprising a bowl with tripod loop feet and double loop handles in the form of horned caprids, with painted decoration including horizontal and vertical bands, dotted diamonds and swastikas; and two amphorae, both decorated with horizontal bands and concentric circles
12 ¾ in. (32.5 cm.) high max.
Provenance
with Seiyo Bijutsu Gallery, Osaka.
Private collection, Japan, acquired from the above in the 1970s.
One amphora and the tripod bowl accompanied by Ichikawa Kiyoshi (1898-1987) presentation boxes.
