Three Worcester plates
Various dates, first half of the 19th century, the first with impressed mark, the others with printed marks
The first by Barr, Flight & Barr, painted with a study of a conch shell on seaweed with a gilt roundel, the pale-blue border enclosed by a broad gilt band reserved in white with leaves and beads, a Chamberlain's lilac-ground example painted with fruit below a gilt line well suspending pendant flowerheads and scrolls, the border painted in the manner of Evans with three panels of exotic birds and reserved with moulded white flowers, the other Chamberlain's example painted with flowers below a blue, buff and gilt border of leaves within a shaped leaf-moulded rim
