Two Arita blue and white ovoid jars
Late 17th Century
Painted with shaped panels of chrysanthemum sprays and foliage on a ground of stylised flowers and foliate scroll, the neck with bands of lappets and linear design, 26.5 cm. high, glaze crackling; and a smaller ovoid jar painted with peony and chrysanthemum sprays issuing from rockwork, within bands of key fret and foliate motifs, 16 cm. high, crackled (2)
