A four-case inro, black lacquer ground; decoration in gold and coloured hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with shell, and with overlay of gold, silver, shakudo, shibuichi and copper; compartments and risers gold nashiji; shoulders and rims gold lacquer

The twelve animals of the East Asian zodiac overlaid in silver and gilt on a lacquer design representing a rustic hut amongst trees, rocks and grasses

And another, black lacquer ground; decoration in gold and aokin togidashi-e; compartments red lacquer; risers, shoulders and rims gold lacquer minogame [hairy-tailed tortoises] swimming amongst reeds
