LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, ONE INCISED 2811, IMPRESSED 137 AND 51, GILT 36, THE OTHER INCISED C.82. AND IMPRESSED 145, THE SECOND AFTER THE MODEL BY J.F. EBERLEIN
Each with the God of wine holding a bunch of grapes in one hand, a goblet in the other, the first modelled as a group of revelers with Bacchus seated astride a barrel holding his glass aloft, attended by three putti and a scantily clad maiden, the second as a single figure standing and eating grapes, both on grassy rocaille-moulded bases
