TWO QINGBAI VESSELS
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
One is an octagonal bottle with tapering ovoid body and upright neck, the facets of the body bordered by raised ribs, and the shoulder applied with four small loops, all under a glaze of aqua tone. The other is a shallow dish with flared sides, carved in the center with a foliate spray, and covered with a glaze of aqua tone that ends below the unglazed rim and covers the slightly concave base.
