On the eve of Peter Sutton's retirement, Christie's London is proud to be offering the property of 'Oliver-Sutton Antiques' as a fine single- vendor sale. The sale represents a broad range of collecting tastes, from the magnificent bull-baiting group (Lot 31) to the impressive selection of the rarest animal models, such as the pair of Lloyd of Shelton Lion and Lamb groups (Lot 403). A large range of spaniels, sporting dogs and dalmations are also included, as well as more exotic animals, for example, the pair of leopard spill vases (Lot 410). This is a rare opportunity to acquire a piece with this exceptional provenance and to view a unique collection. Rebecca Greene Please note that a limited number of the Late Anthony Oliver's two books, 'The Victorian Staffordshire Figure' and 'Tribal Art of England' are available to be given away with each lot.
