Two South Indian bronzes of Sambandar and Sri Devi
17th century
Sambandar is standing on a lotus base placed on a base, his right hand holds the butter ball and the left is stretched outwards, naked except for jewellery, his face with almond-shaped eyes and Sri Devi is standing on a lotus placed on a base, her left hand holds a lotus while the right is stretched downwards, wearing sari, bejewelled and her face with serene expression
