WEDDING PRESENT, JULY 1890 An Indian silver circular waiter, overall repoussé, chased and engraved with floral and foliate scrolls, the cavetto with a quatrefoil enclosing a shield engraved 'Richmond Terrace, London, 12th July 1890', within stiff-leaf border, the rim with 8 shields engraved with the names Ujiji, Coomassie, Zanzibar, Ruwenzori, Congo, Uganda, Albert Edward Nyanza, and Magdala, on three paw feet, apparently unmarked 12 1/8in. (306mm.) diam. 23oz. (745gr.) A wedding present from J.S. Mackenzie Esq., illustrated on p.105 of the Lady's Pictorial on 19th June 1890.
