WILDE, Oscar (1854-1900). Autograph letter signed ('Oscar Wilde') to Henry Davray, n.p. [Paris], n.d. [postmarked 15 December 1898], in French and English, sending news of Frank Harris, who is staying at the Ritz: 'il desire avoir des nouvelles de son article pour La Revue des Deux Mondes'; Harris will be in the following morning and 'would be very pleased to see you if you c[oul]d kindly call', one page, small 4to, on the printed form of a 'carte pneumatique fermée', integral address panel.

Wilde left Paris on the evening of 15 December for Napoule, near Cannes, where Frank Harris supported him for three months. By this stage he had accepted that he would write no more.
