This drawing may represent the Dutch fleet at sea before the Battle of Solebay, 28 May-12 June 1712 which marked the beginning of the third Anglo-Dutch War. Other drawings related to this subject, similarly inscribed and numbered '59', '60', '64', and '70' are in the Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
