Taken from a sketch by Captain Cole of HMS Caroline, this coloured aquatint by Daniell is one of the finest early prints of Indonesia. It depicts three of the four ships used to capture Bandanaira from the Dutch in 1810 with a force of one hundred and thirty men of the Madras European Regiment.
