Lot Essay

William Trow Esq. lived at Ismere House, West Kidderminster. William Williams was an itinerant painter, who specialized in small full-length portraits. He is recorded as working at Manchester, York, London and Bath where he undertoook a variety of projects including painting theatrical scenery and publishing an Essay on Mechanic of Oil Colours in 1787.
