WINSTON SPENCER CHURCHILL (1874-1965)
A head-and-shoulders portrait photograph of Churchill, signed: "Winston S. Churchill," 5½ x 3½in; together with a wooden cigar box 13 x 8½in. and 3¼in. high, and another Habana cigar box.
Provenance: As a serving police officer, the vendors's late husband was assigned 6 months duty at Chartwell. At the end of his term of duty he was given this signed photograph of Churchill as a thank you for his work there, and he asked permission to keep the two cigar boxes as a momento. (3)
