FROM THE COLLECTION OF SOHO TOKUTOMI (LOTS 989-997)Soho Tokutomi (1863-1957) was a Japanese journalist, historian and the editor of the famous The Modern Japanese History Volume 1-100. He was close to Chinese painters Wu Changshuo (1844-1927) and Qi Baishi who was born and died in the same years as Soho. Part of Soho’s collection was sold in our rooms on 26-27 November 2012 and received high acclamation.
