PROPERTY FROM A CHINESE AMERICAN COLLECTION
This collection of paintings belonged to Mr. Lee Chiu Yan (1903-1980), who was born in Canton, Guangdong province. He was the chief administrator for academics in Pak U Middle School in Yuen Long, Hong Kong, where he also taught Chinese literature. He befriended many of the artists from the Guangdong region, and received many paintings and calligraphy from them as gifts, which were especially dedicated to him.
