The colophon of the manuscript reads that the work was completed with the help of the all-bestowing King on the 7th of Rabi al-'Awwal in the year AH 667 and that Sa'dullah ibn Salim ibn Wasil al-Hamawi al-Tabib (the physician) wrote it. Whilst a close examination of the paper of this manuscript confirms that it dates from the 13th century, the colophon appears to be of a somewhat different texture. It is unclear whether it is on a totally different paper or whether the original page has at some point been scraped down.

The scribe is unrecorded.
