MARILYN MONROE
In the fall of 1952, Marilyn and Joe DiMaggio took out a short lease on a house at 2393 Castlian Drive, on Output Estates in the Hollywood Hills, as a safe haven from the reporters who followed their every move at the Bel Air Hotel, where Marilyn was living at the time. Marilyn made this check out to Frank Klein Archer for four hundred and fifty dollars. The check is inscribed in blue ball point ink and dated "September 15, 1952", on the left hand bottom Marilyn wrote the following "1st and last months rent on 2393 Castillian Dri., LA". The check is boldly signed "Marilyn Monroe".
