A painter in watercolour and oil of birds and insects and a book illustrator, Mildred E. Eldridge was born in Wimbledon on 1st August, 1909. She studied at the Wimbledon School of Art, the R.C.A. and the British School of Rome and exhibited at the R.A., R.S.A. and R.W.S. She is represented in several public collections.
