(Offsetting of first plate onto text, and minor browing.) 19th-century red half morocco (rebacked, slight wear to corners). Provenance: Frederic Robert Halsey (bookplate); Henry E. Huntington, Library (duplicate stamp "H.E.H." on front pastedown); Myles Standish Slocum (sale, Christie's New York, 20 November 1981, lot 414).
FIRST EDITION. The charming plates are divided into two groups. The first 12 plates (January-December) are views of St. Petersburg at different months of the year, the others illustrate various types of sledges and carriages transporting people. Abbey Travel 226; Tooley 355.
