EXTREMELY SCARCE. The work, issued in parts commencing in 1881 and intended to extend to 5 volumes, was never finished. The title-page to volume 3 and plates 158-159 were never issued. Vols. 1 and 2 contain Indigenous Land Birds and vol. 3 Indigenous Waders; vols. 4 and 5 were to have contained Indigenous Water Birds and Accidental Visitors.
