Log-book No.3: Opened 17/7/31, passenger flying, 9,247 passengers carried to 19/10/32. Short Empire Flying Boat trips including Bangkok to Penang, Athens to Alexandria and many others.
Log-book No.5: Opened 7/4/39 Imperial Airways and Empire Boats.
Log-book No.6: Opened 20/10/43, Khartoum to Malahal 1st Feb 45 "record air time 2.13"
Log-book No.7: -- Opened 28/7/45 Khartoum to Malahal 6/2/46 "Hit ducks. Wing damaged". Last entry 4/2/47. Total hours flown: 11,428hrs 45mins; and a Great Britain Air Ministry Pilots Certificate and Licence No. 2407 issued to E. Bicknell on 30/1/30 qualifying him to fly Gloster "Grebe" Siskin, DH 60 and Avro 504.K; Licence authorising to give instruction flying d/d 20/1/31 including DH.82; Re-newed Licence dated 12/6/36, instruction endorsement deleted 25/5/37 aircraft include Westland Wessex, Short Empire Flying Boat S.23, S.33 and S.30 with Pegasus engines; Aircraft Navigator's Certificate of Competency, 2nd Class No.507 d/d 14/6/37. All the licence's contain A.M. stamps and form a comprehensive history of E.
