The Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John the Baptist

We are grateful to Dr. Francesca Baldassari for suggesting the attribution to Tornioli on the basis of a photograph (private communication, 27 June 2002) . Dr. Baldassari notes the similarity between the Madonna in the present work and the female figure on the right in the artist's Astronomers (Galleria Spada, Rome).
