Half-title, portrait frontispiece printed in 2 colours, 4 coloured plates after F.W. Stokes, 4 coloured maps, 3 folding, numerous illustrations, many full-page. Original green cloth, upper cover and spine blocked in gilt and black (spine lightly soiled and chipped at head and foot). Provenance: Gustaf Thalberg (author's presentation inscription, signed in full by Nordenskjöld).
