Notre Dame de Lorette,
a printed fan, the leaf a hand-coloured etching of the figure of the Virgin Mary at Loretto, with either side views of the Santa Casa and various relics, with descriptions and a history above, in the centre is the inscription: Ntre Dme de Lorette envoyee a Paris par le General en Chef Buonaparte, alluding to the removal of the image to Paris by Napoleon in 1797, with pierced wooden sticks - 9.5in. (24cm.) French, circa 1797 (slightly worn)
