Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe cardboard slipcase and leather-covered winding box with instructions.

According to our research the present watch has never before appeared at auction.

The reference 5041 sits as the rarest of all perpetual calendar watches of Patek Philippe's normal production. Manufactured from 1995 to 2003, this model appears identical to the reference 5040 except for its enlarged, flat bezel. The 5041 was exclusively made in white gold with a black dial and Breguet numerals. Although the exact production numbers are not known, it is thought that a total of only 30 to 50 examples were made.
