With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated April 2004, sales tag, instruction manual, product literature, gold and wooden setting pin, leather envelope, fitted slip case, presentation box with winding mechanism and outer packaging. Furthermore delivered with the Extract from the Archives confirming production of this watch in 2004 and its subsequent sale on 7 May 2004.

Reference 5059 was introduced in 1998 and was replaced by reference 5159 in 2006. The model possesses the intriguing complication of a perpetual calendar mechanism with retrograde date hand, and is one of the very few perpetual calendar wristwatches with sweep centre seconds. Furthermore, it displays another of Patek Philippe's celebrated traditions - the Officer-style case, featuring a hinged dust cover that protects the sapphire crystal display back.
