Consigned by a private collector the present watch has never been offered in public before and is preserved in very good overall condition. It is believed to be one of only two examples of ref. 2252-1 in yellow gold known to exist to date, the second in the Patek Philippe Museum Collection, Inv. P-708, illustrated in Patek Philippe Museum - Patek Philippe Watches, Vol. II, p. 197.

Case and bracelet were supplied by the celebrated firm A. and E. Wenger of Geneva, Patek Philippe's casemaker of choice particularly for shaped watches.
